Making a Difference

I've made a difference, I've helped someone and that makes me feel amazing. One of my dearest friends had cancer. Yes, had......past tense, and she kicked cancer's collective a$$. At only 28 she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She fought it with a husband at her side, an infant and a toddler.....she is a STRONG woman! And after years of treatment she is cancer free!!!! And due any day with her 3rd child :) So in her honor I cut 10 inches to donate to Pantene Beautiful Lengths who partnered with the American Cancer Society to donate over 18,000 human hair wigs to adult women. I encourage you to consider doing the same thing. You only need a minimum of 8 inches of hair and it makes a huge difference in someone's life.

Disclaimer: I have no idea on how to move the pics and the text....hence the funny look. Sorry. I have some learning to do! LOL

Our "Stay-cation"

Doug had a week off! And instead of trying to cram flying back and forth from the east coast to west coast in 7 days, we decided to stay put and enjoy the beautiful cities of St. Petersburg and Tampa. Here are some pics of some good ole family time.

We took the boys to Busch Gardens, the zoo to meet Diego, the pier, out for gelatto, the beach and then we also hosted a wine and cheese party for our adult friends. Good times!

Harrison Turns 3!!!

The lucky boy had 3 fun filled days of pure celebration. Sunday morning, his actual bday, daddy took Harrison out for doughnuts and later that night it was Chucky Cheese for pizza and fun. Every since his cousin's introduced him to the place, it's been on the top of restaurant list.

The next day he brought cupcakes to class so all his classmates could enjoy his special day with him. And then finally, the next day we had a birthday party at a local Bounce House facility. I think his favorite part was his breaking the Diego Pinata. :)

Happy Birthday Harrison!

It's My Birthday!

Happy Birthday to me! I'll share, I turned 32. Yikes! My "scary age" of 40 is creeping up on me! I had a fantastic day doing what I enjoy most, spending time with my family. I decided to pack up the kids and Moly and head over to the local Dog Beach. Since it was Monday, there were only a few people on the beach and a handful of dogs. Moly was throughly entertained, managing her time between herding Harrison and herding the other dogs that came across her path. Harrison and Davis enjoyed talking to people, sticking thier feet in the water and collecting sea shells for a craft we wanted to do later.

We finished the day with a Filet Mignon BBQ cookout in our backyard. I LOVE relaxing in the backyard with the kids! Daddy finally joined us at 8 PM, and although it was the kids bedtime I insisted we go out for gelatto. As you can see we ALL enjoyed mama's special day!

Harrison the aspiring photographer! Every time he see's the camera, he HAS to take a picture. I think he did a pretty good job. :)

Mama enjoying dinner with the kids on the patio, Daddy was still at work.
Can you believe Harrison took this picture?

Daddy finally getting home from work, 15 hour after going in! Ugh.
